Hi, my name is Joelle. I'm a girl in 8th grade at Lonfellow Middle School. I'm in lots of sports and I made Central High School dance team for next year. My name is pronounced Jo-L.
Joelle.... What questions come to your mind when you look at the cover? I wonder where the mouse is going? Why does he need a motorcycle? Why is he leaving?
What do you think the story is going to be about? What do you think might happen just by looking at the cover? I think... 1. The mouse is going on a long journey away from his home. 2. He will meet some very strange characters such as the bug in the grass. 3. The story will tell about why the mouse ran away and where he is going. 4. I think after his trip he will get lonely and come home.
Yong, if you were Ralph and you had lot's of little relitives bothering you, and your parents wouldn't let you do what you want, would you run away or just stay at home?
I think I would feel like running away, but I wouldn't. I would probably try talking to my parents about having some free time to myself, when my little relitives couldn't bother me. If that didn't work, I would try to act really boring around my little relitives so they wouldn't want to bother me!
Yong, If you ran away would you want to be independent just like Ralph did at first, or would you want to take someone with you?
If I decided to run away I would want to take someone with me. It would be someone that knew a lot about living in the wild so they could help me. If I had someone with me then I think it would be a little eaiser to find food and shelter.
Joelle what would you do if you were in a cage. Would you fist try to get out and almost get eaten or stay in the cage where the cat can open it and eat you
Also have you been on a mountain and if you did witch one.
The 8th graders have not had Spanish for a couple of days, so Joelle has not been able to get online to blog with you. I'll be sure to get her on to write you a message as soon as possible. What do you think of the book so far? Do you like it? I think it's a GREAT book!
Hi Yong, Sorry I haven't been online to blog with you, We haven't had time during spanish. If i was put in a cage like Ralph was I would try and get out even if i almost get eaten because I would be missing my home and want to get back. No, I have never been on a mountain but I would to like to go on one someday. The one I want to climb is called Mount Kenya. Have you ever been on a mountatn? Yes i do have a pet. In fact I have a few pets. I have a cat named Wanda, a rabbit named Chestnut, and a hamster named Benji. I used to have a mouse like Ralph and her name was Jezibelle, but she was really old for a mouse and died of old age. If any of my pets were stolen i would definalty do A. try to get him back even if I get in trouble. I really care about me pets so I would really want them back, even if I do get in trouble. Do you have any pets? I really like the book and I will blog you more later because spanish class is over now. ~joelle~
Hey Yong I finished the book too. I LOVED it!!! I really liked it when Sam helped Ralph return the watch to Karen and when he saved him from Catso. I also liked it when Ralph had Garf promise to give Chum a pice of wood to chew on. That was very nice of ralph, and I think Chum will be very happy. I'm so glad that Ralph will get to go home finally. I think he will really appreciate his family now and will probably be happy to give them rides on his motorcycle. Do you like motorcycles? I think it's great that Ralph has a motorcycle to rde on!
Hi Yong, it's me again. How has school been going? I can't belive that there's only about 3 weeks left of school! I think that the school year has gone by really fast. Hi Yong! How are you? I did finish the book. I really loved it! During the summer I like to go swimming, to play outside, and I really like climbing trees with my neighbor (I live in the woods so there are lot's of trees). I also like going to my friend's houses. Hey Yong! I'm so excited for summer! How are you? Are you going to the Memorial Day parade on Monday? I'll be in it holding the sign for Central High School. I can't wait until the weather gets warm! I think it's still been kind of cold. I can't belive that school is almost over! Bye! ~Joelle~
